Tahun 2009 akan menutup tirainya pada tengah malam ini dan 2010 akan menjelma, sepanjang tahun 2009 dimana aku kembali bertugas di semenanjung memberikan aku pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang bermakna untuk menempuh tahun 2010, walaupun penutup tahun 2009 dikejutkan dgn kes2 didalam TUDM namun aku harap tahun 2010 akan mengembalikan kegemilangan TUDM... SELAMAT TAHUN BARU 2010 SEMUA... :)

The Malaysian National Paintball League (MY-NPL) & MAPAAC are pleased to announce the opening of team registration for the event 1 of the 2010 MY-NPL. Registration is now open for all Teams. For more information on registration details, please read below.

Team Registration:
No over the phone confirmation of registrations. All entries must be paid through online or cheque only. Registration must be submitted 5days before the event date. Late entries will not be entertain. Changes in team rosters are allowed but need to send to MY-NPL HQ for Malaysian PaintBall Players' Council (MPPC) approval.

Closing Date: 25th January 2010.

The MY-NPL Divisions in 2010

In 2010, Division 1 will be continue playing in Super7 format! While Division 2, 3 & 4 will maintains as 5men format.

For Division 1 only. Each team will consists of ten (10)active players on their roster and shall field a maximum of seven (7) players in every game.

Open to all D1 teams in Asian region.
Electronic markers with semi auto/NPPL mode allowed.

For all Division 2, 3 & 4. Each team will consists of seven (7) active players on their roster and shall field a maximum of five (5) players in every game.

Open to all D2 teams in Asian region.
Maximum of two (2) D1 players are allowed in D2 roster.

Setelah berhempas pulas selama 96 minit, akhirnya Malaysia ditabalkan sebagai pemenang pingat emas bagi acara bolasepak... Dgn keputusan ini juga berakhirnya penantian pasukan bolasepak M'sia dan rakyat M'sia selama 20 tahun untuk memenangi pingat emas acara tersebut..
1st half game mmg nampak pasukan M'sia agak berhati-hati dan mencari rentak yang sesuai untuk menyerang pasukan Vietnam namun benteng pertahanan pasukan M'sia berjaya menahan serangan demi serangan pasukan Vietnam.. 2nd half menampakkan kegarangan pasukan M'sia dengan pergerakan dan serangan yang lebih mantap membuatkan pasukan Vietnam tertekan namun sekali sekala pasukan Vietnam melakukan serangan juga keatas gol M'sia.. paling aku sakit hati bila goal keeper Vietnam asyik berlakon sakit berkali-kali, kalau betul2 sakit tukarler keeper baru, nak drang timeler tuh, taktik lama... overall game mmg mantap n menampakkan kematangan permainan bolasepak pasukan M'sia dan membuatkan Jurulatih Pasukan Vietnam telan balik apa yang dia cakap di akhbar... hu3

Petfinder.my... how it's begin?

by Andy Koh, April 18th 2008 (founder of Pet Finder) LONG, LONG AGO, In A Galaxy Far, Far Away... Ok - it wasn't that long ago, and neither was it far away. Exactly 1 month back and 2 kilometers away it was. The journey began from the fateful day of March 18th 2008, when a distress call dragged me to consciousness from deep sleep. My friend, Shan Hui who was staying nearby spotted an injured puppy at the roadside and was frantically trying to figure out the best course of action. According to sources, the poor puppy was likely knocked down by her irresponsible owner a few blocks away.

My mind was racing back and forth picturing various options and scenarios while I eagerly drove over to get a piece of the action. Ah, there it was - such a cute, adorable little female puppy! My friend's family have carried her into the house, and she was painstakingly trying to crawl to a nearby metal container for shade. Something was definitely wrong - she was dragging herself with just the front legs.

Wasting no further time, we quickly chauffeurred her to the vet. It was discovered that her right hind leg was dislocated by the accident's impact, and she was put on a plaster cast for 2 weeks. We approached the owner, who appeared reluctant to bear responsibility and baulked at the RM280 medical bill. Fearing that we would claim it from him, he told us to keep the puppy. We named her Chanelle - a word that we believe aptly described her elegance and charm. Unfortunately, we were unable to foster Chanelle for long as my friend's brother was asthmatic. We decided to seek a suitable adopter for her, and executed a string of online announcements in pet forums, social networks and emails. Veterans at the forums were extremely helpful and provided kind support and advice on locating suitable adopters. There were a number of enquiries, but nothing materialized.

The lucky break came when I discussed this with my old time buddy and friend-cum-animal lover, Ezer Ratchaga. Having rescued a number of puppies in the past, he advised me to place an ad in The Star newspapers' classifieds. "It's the best way to get your pet adopted," said Ezer. "I used to take abandoned puppies from the jungle behind my house and list them in the classifieds and lots of people would call. It's a no-brainer really. A lot of people are looking to buy a puppy and if you put up an ad that says, FREE PUPPIES, people would jump." And sure enough, the response was overwhelming with just a simple 4-liner ad placed in a Saturday Star's Metro section. Filtering through the 30+ calls received, I shortlisted a few candidates which we invited over to meet Chanelle.

One of the adopters, Mrs.Tan, turned out to be the perfect match for Chanelle. A family of dog lovers with 2 kids that truly adore Chanelle, they are able to shower her with all the love and care she deserves. And so, Chanelle became the newest member of their happy family, with a mini pinscher companion to chase around the house. And till this day, she is leading a comfortable and luxurious life, fully recovered from her injury and naughty as ever. NO - THE STORY HASN'T ENDED YET... (That was just the beginning!) Ok, let's cut to the chase - during the process, I was exposed to an active community of dog rescuers and adopters in the online forums. What I realized was that many kind-hearted people were doing a great job rescuing and fostering homeless dogs, but the problem lies in effectively seeking suitable adopters - be it the difficulty in cost, time or reach of audience. Why not team up all these people into an organized group?

I talked to Ezer about this and together we came up with a comprehensive website which will incorporate a lot of tools for the pet-loving community of Malaysia to further the plight of thousands of animals. The service will start off with a discussion forum, classifieds and adoption profiles of pets seeking a loving home, and a Hall of Shame to expose the people who are cruel to animals.


Thus, PetFinder.my was conceived.


This service would address 3 important missions:

To Facilitate Better Communications
Right now there is a lack of organized presentation of information to potential adopters and communications / requests are often ad-hoc. By having a system with properly profiled pets, rescuers and adopters, a lot of back-and-forth communication can be eliminated, resulting in much more effective rescue efforts, location of temporary foster homes, and pairing of the dogs and adopters.

Economy Of Scale
Instead of having each of the rescuers putting up individual ads in websites, newspapers etc, we can now promote a single, unified resource - the website. Ads can be directed towards this website and enquirers can be presented with much more choices by selecting from our pool of pets available for adoption. In fact, the chances would be higher for adopters to find a suitable pet this way.

Educating The Public
To generate a vibrant non-profit community within our service, providing assistance to the public and educating people on how to manage pets responsibly. This service will also serve as a forum for the public to expose irresponsible owners that ill-treat their pets. Although we do not have the authority to punish these owners, we can use the power of media to put a shame on them. We can also assist SPCA and PAWS in reaching out to more adopters and donors.


I envision a cohesive network of rescuers, fosterers and adopters effectively cooperating to provide loving care and shelter for these neglected animals. I strongly believe that we should do our level best to assist the less fortunate in this world - be it humans, animals or wildlife. Together with Ezer and a team of dedicated volunteers, we set out to develop PetFinder, hoping that our little contribution here can help put a comfortable home over the heads of more animals.

Tahniah M'sia dan TUDM kerana telah dipilih antara 78 negara bagi pertunjukan udara oleh Pasukan F-16 Thunderbirds... dikesempatan ini juga TUDM mengetengahkan pesawat tempur Su30-MKM bagi pertunjukan udara dan statik... Pertunjukan udara Thunderbirds dan Sukhoi bermula dari 1hb okt 2009 hingga 3hb okt 2009 namun acara kemuncak dan dibuka kepada org awam hanyalah pada 3hb okt 2009 bermula dari 9 pagi hingga 1 petang termasuk pameran statik pesawat2 dan jualan2 cenderahati.. Petrol Octane and your Honda: Is RON95 suitable?

1st of all i'm quite curious when i'm pumping ron95 fuel onto my car, lots of question come in my mind, is it can be use in my car? how bout the performance? can the engine sustain itself with differ octane?... i'm keep on surfing the net for answer until i found this article from Smart Wheel, now i know.... :)

The government has just announced the new prices of petrol in Malaysia and we are looking at RM1.80 per liter for RON95 now, which was what RON97 was previously priced at. This is up from RM1.75 per liter pre-September 2009. As for RON97, it has been hiked to RM2.05 per liter.

All cars from Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd are compatible with RON95. Yes, even the Civic Type R, with a catch of course. But the Civic Type R is a high performance, high-revving sedan, how can this be? Let’s take a look at what RON95 and RON97 actually are to have a better understanding of petrol octane.

RON stands for Research Octane Number, a rating used to measure a fuel’s knock resistance in spark-ignition internal combustion engines. What exactly is ‘knocking’ and why must a fuel resist it?

See, the combustion chamber is one really heated up place. Combustion explosions can happen a few hundreds or thousands times a second. If an engine is sometimes tuned too aggressively, the engine may ‘knock’. Knocking is what happens when arts or all of the air-fuel mixture prematurely ignites before the flame from the spark plug can reach it.

When this happens, it causes a decrease in performance. Also, the engine has no way of predicting or controlling how this rogue flame behaves so it might damage your engine. Basically knock resistance is a measurement of how likely it is your fuel can withstand self-ignition.

It is a misunderstanding to think that RON97 petrol are able to produce more power than RON92, even more so with the fact that a higher RON number actually means the fuel combusts less easily! If you engine does not require RON97 and can work on RON95, pumping RON97 will likely only result in an emptier wallet.

If you’ve been able to sense a difference between RON97 petrol and RON92 petrol in the past it could be because of a significantly different additive packages added to each type of petrol by the fuel company. Look for companies that claim the same additive package or mix added to each octane grade they sell for similiar performance between octane grades.

Now back to the Civic Type R. All Honda engines have a device called a “Knock Sensor” which can detect knocking and automatically adjust the engine’s spark timing to prevent engine knocking. The Type R’s engine was designed for RON100 fuel in Japan in order to get the maximum horsepower but since it has a knock sensor it can work on RON97 fuel. It can run on RON95 too, however performance and fuel consumption will be affected, so it’s best to feed it with the highest octane fuel you can find. Honda Malaysia recommends RON97 fuel for the Civic Type R.

PENAMPILAN dan gaya mereka saling tak tumpah seperti satu pasukan elit tentera yang sedia bertempur dengan musuh di medan perang.

Itulah keunikan dan tarikan ketika berkesempatan menyaksikan kira-kira 100 pemain ‘paintball’ bermain senario (scenario) paintball atau woodsball di Paintball Valley, Taman Pertanian Malaysia, Shah Alam, baru-baru ini.

Sekalipun sekadar satu permainan senjata bebola warna, aksi pertempuran mereka ketika saling berbalas tembakan persis pertempuran sebenar.

Yang menarik, semua pemain paintball yang datang dari seluruh Malaysia menempa sejarah tersendiri apabila secara langsung terbabit dengan acara Paintball Global BT Big Games (BTBG) 2009 yang diadakan serentak di 82 lokasi seluruh dunia membabitkan penyertaan 6,000 pemain.

Pastinya ia memberi pengalaman berharga buat pemain yang menyertai acara paintball untuk tujuan pertunjukan di peringkat antarabangsa itu, tambah pula ia pembabitan pertama negara sebagai satu lokasi program dianjurkan pengeluar peralatan paintball terkenal, BT International.

Antara kumpulan paintball terkenal dalam negara yang menyertai BTBG adalah ML Tank Corps, Unknown, PBM, Sleeping Fox, UKGG, Malcon, Regiment 66, Hammer, Marauders, Funny Farmers, Traitors dan Flankers.

Penuntut, Md Nabil Md Nassir, 22, dari Kumpulan Unknown, berkata dia teruja sepanjang menyertai BTBG kerana ia bukan saja membabitkan ramai pemain paintball, malah dimainkan dengan pelbagai misi dan meliputi kawasan luas iaitu 20 ekar.

Lagi pula, katanya, pelbagai prop atau barangan tiruan tambahan disediakan di sekitar tapak permainan seperti kubu pertahanan, menara dan perkampungan perang yang direka mirip dengan situasi sebenar ketika peperangan.

“Ia memang menyeronokkan dan saya berasa diri bagai askar. Misi kami juga mencabar kerana ‘peperangan’ berlaku antara kumpulan besar serta meliputi kawasan luas.

“Tambah pula, BTBG dijalankan serentak di seluruh dunia dan ia seolah-olah membuatkan kami berdepan peperangan besar. Ia banyak memberi pengalaman baru dan memberi kepuasan maksimum kepada saya,” katanya yang belajar di Sekolah Kejuruteraan Audio.

Sedikit mengenai BTBG, walaupun sekadar permainan untuk tujuan pertunjukan, ia antara usaha BT menghargai pengusaha padang permainan dan pemain paintball di seluruh dunia.

Antara negara yang terbabit dalam BTBG adalah Amerika Syarikat, Australia, United Kingdom, Itali, Perancis dan Afrika Selatan selain Malaysia. Di Malaysia, BTBG dikendalikan oleh Delta Paintball Malaysia Sdn Bhd (DPSB).

Daripada 6,000 pemain seluruh dunia yang bermain untuk BTBG, ia dibahagi kepada dua kumpulan iaitu Red Rangers dan Blue Batalion.

Format permainan adalah menaikkan bendera kumpulan masing-masing dalam sesuatu misi dan mencari barang tersembunyi dengan konsep ala mencari harta karun.

Pelajar dan pemain baru kumpulan Unknown, Muhd Asyraaf Md Nizam, 15, dari Bagan Datoh, Perak berkata, perkara penting perlu ditekankan dalam format permainan kategori senario atau woodsball adalah kerjasama tinggi di kalangan pemain, fokus dan mengikut strategi permainan.

Katanya, daripada segi teknik permainan, terutama ketika melakukan serang hendap atau mempertahankan kubu masing-masing, pemain perlu merancang dengan teliti setiap tindakan diambil.

“Tidak boleh membabi buta melakukan serangan kerana ia memudahkan musuh membalas serangan. Jika silap percaturan, kita boleh terperangkap dengan strategi lawan hingga memudahkan kita ditawan musuh.

“Itu yang menarik mengenai permainan ini. Ia bukan sekadar untuk berseronok, tapi turut membuat saya rasa bagaikan dalam situasi perang sebenar,” kata pelajar Sekolah Menengah Agama Irshadiah, Bagan Datoh itu.

Peniaga, Rahim Razali, 37, dari kumpulan Unknown dan lebih lima tahun bermain paintball berkata, selain untuk rekreasi, paintball juga membentuk aspek kepemimpinan dalam diri seseorang.

“Ia (bermain paintball) mampu membentuk peribadi seseorang kerana permainan ini mementingkan kerjasama berpasukan, mematuhi ketua kumpulan dan membentuk disiplin diri.

“Selain itu, ia membantu remaja menyertai aktiviti lebih berfaedah daripada terbabit dengan pelbagai gejala negatif lain,” katanya.

Sementara itu pengurus DPSB, Roslin Abu, yang bertanggungjawab menjayakan BTBG berkata, permainan paintball kini semakin mendapat sambutan orang ramai.

“Ada lebih 40 padang permainan di seluruh negara. Ini petanda positif dalam pembangunan sukan dan permainan paintball sendiri.

“Dengan adanya pelbagai aktiviti dan pertandingan membabitkan paintball, sama ada tempatan dan antarabangsa, ia sedikit sebanyak menjadi pengisian positif buat remaja dan bermanfaat untuk masyarakat,” katanya.

Welcome to the BT Big Game – the Global Paintball Game. This is the first big game of its kind in the sport of paintball and we are excited to have you as a part of it.
GAMES DETAILS AND SCHEDULE:
• Each Global field Start time – 10:00 am and end at 4:00 pm
• Unlimited No of Players but will be divided into 2 equal group. For PAINTBALL VALLEY@TMN BOTANI we are limiting to max 150 per team.
• Division of RED RANGERS and BLUE BATTALION will be decided 1 week before the event and during the GAME BRIEFING at our SITE.
• Two breaks built into the schedule
o 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
o 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm
o The last break is to get everyone geared up for the final two hours, in which points for the flags will be worth more points.
• Details to Facilitate Game Play
o 5 flag stations, one at each HQ and the other(s) equal distances from both teams HQ or entry point.
o There should be a red and blue flag on the pulley, which will start in the center of the pole at the beginning of the game.
o 10 points per raised flag; scored every 30 minutes. Points double in final 2 hours.
o These flag points are awarded even if specific missions involving flags i.e. Mission 10:00C, 12:30B, or 14:00B are completed at same time.
o For Paintball Valley Games, we will include respawn element at the interval of every 15 minutes. Eliminated players will be in the hospital until the respawn time. Safe zone will be for any players who unable to continue the games.
• The mission cards will be provided for each teams. On top mission cards each TEAM Captain/Leader/General will be provided a mobile phone for Mission Transmission during game play.
• We will have LIVE scoring and will be uploaded at BT Website at least 3 times during the event
• This is an International Event and LIVE scoring will keep the player involvement around the world!

Replacing the aging MiG-29N

Pengumuman oleh Menteri Pertahanan baru2 ini bagi menggantikan pesawat tempur MiG-29N disambut baik oleh anggota TUDM dan rakyat M'sia, rata2 berpendapat sudah sampai waktunya pesawat tempur ini diganti dengan pesawat baru yang setanding dan mampu menyaingi negara jiran dari segi interceptor... pakej yang ditawarkan sekian lama oleh Saab tiba2 kembali hangat diperkatakan kerana pakej yang ditawarkan adalah termasuk sistem AWACS erieye dan TUDM sedang memacu pasukan kearah modernisasi yang memerlukan sistem pengesan/penjejak/jammer udara namun ada jugak pihak tidak suka dengan Saab Gripen kerana pesawat ini beroperasi dengan satu enjin tetapi harus diingat bahawa single engine sekarang tidak sama dengan teknology single engine dahulu, lagipun kebanyakan persenjataan Gripen boleh di-swap antara Su-30MKM dan F/A-18... penggunaan anggota bagi tugas penyelenggaraan pesawat agak kurang berbanding dua engine disebabkan single engine dan sudah tentulah keperluan alat ganti engine agak berkurang dari dual engine... dibawah adalah gambar2 pesawat yang mungkin akan dimasukkan kedalam senarai pendek bagi penggantian MiG-29N
